Nichrome Horse of Dublin (Hoss): K-9 assistant to engineers and staff
Hoss comes from humble beginnings of Dublin Texas at D-Lime ranch where he was born. Hoss works part time security at SEAL when he is not negotiating treats or power napping under someone’s desk. He strives for a hazard free workplace by demonstrating concern for safety and staff members. He is patient and attentive toward all he works with and emphasizes safety by allowing others to go ahead of him when going up or down stairs in a fervent effort to promote and foster a safe work environment.
Monday is Hoss’ favorite day of the week because he can hardly wait to greet everyone with the highest level of motivation possible. Hoss has no set hours because he prefers to meet everyone at peak energy levels during selective times of the day. His dedication to duty extends beyond normal work hours frequently working weekends to ensure his human’s welfare and even finds time to campaign against dog discrimination.
Hoss enjoys a ripe banana first thing in the morning prior to greeting SEAL staff and offers motivation for the work week ahead. Shortly after his rounds he is depleted of inspirational energy and insists on napping until lunch time. Once Hoss has someone’s lunch, he takes a series of strategic naps to fully charge for end of the day events.
At 1600 Hoss is in a deep state of meditation considering all the ways to thank others for their contribution to SEAL and sacrifices made to feed him. At 1645 Hoss wakes from his meditative slumber to energetically congratulate everyone to the point of exhaustion.
Hoss is known for his strong food drive and tireless motivation inspired by willing staff that selflessly donate their time and food toward a dog friendly work environment. He is mentored by SEAL engineers who provide cost/reward analysis to ration performance proportional to his areas of responsibility, most commonly in the break room for treaty negotiations and the lobby to greet clients and advocate dog awareness.
